Influenced by many artists including Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight and James Morrison, Allen Stone is an American soul and R&B musician who has already begun to establish himself as a household name across the country, largely driven by his breakout single “Unaware”. Beginning his music career as a church singer at age 3, by age 14 he was leading the worship at his church with his trusty guitar, being drawn to music mainly because it allowed him to express himself to a crowd of people.

Stone’s 2019 release Building Balance is a 14 track journey of love and loss, which hints at sounds of neo-soul, modern R&B, and funk pop. His skillful grasp of modern blues rings through with his knack for Stevie Wonder-esque vibes. The album splits the difference between his first two albums and the more vibrant Radius, bringing forth a set of hooky tracks that highlight his dynamic vocal presence. He’s primarily worked with Jamie Lidell on this piece, who has brought with him a masterful approach to neo-soul, producing and co-writing a handful of songs.

Soothing soul grooves and funky rhythms make for one incredible album, providing powerful soul ballads and fun pop grooves that are bound to have you tapping your foot along to each and every song.
