Emma Russack’s sixth album, About The Girl, delves into the complexities of desire and its tendency to lead us back to past infatuations and failed romances. Produced with long-time collaborator John Lee at Phaedra Studios, the record explores how relationships can both confuse and clarify our sense of self. 

Inspired partly by the dissociations of dating apps, Russack reflects on the humorous and often painful encounters of being untethered, as well as the insights gained from reexamining past connections. About The Girl is a brilliant and introspective journey through the often messy terrain of longing and self-discovery.
