A trained show performer, Cummings began her musical career as a drummer in a series of high school bands whose repertoire consisted mainly of AC/DC and Jimi Hendrix covers. When Cummings began writing her own songs, she was increasingly inspired by acts such as Paul Kelly, Bob Dylan, J Spaceman, as well as traditional Irish folk music that her father often played at home.

Storm Queen is a work with a distinct, unbridled soundscape defined only by the unique power of her stunning voice. Over the course of 11 feverishly composed folk songs, the Melbourne-based singer/songwriter explores a vast and volatile emotional landscape, approaching each track with both exquisite control and unbridled abandon.
