Paul Komoda’s Cthulhu – Great Race of Yith 9” Statue
Escaping their dying planet over 600 million years ago, The Great Race of Yith derived their mystical powers from their mastery of precognition, via time travel. Inspired by H.P Lovercraft’s work on the Cthulhu Mythos, Paul Komoda continues to expand his designs and renditions of creatures said to be beyond comprehension.
These dark works are both terrifying and beautiful to behold, expertly sculpted with exquisite detail and masterfully pre-painted to enhance every tiny scale, tentacle and pulsating fleshy area. The huge anthropomorphic body of the creature is a fusion of writhing organic matter based on plants, reptiles and marine life. It’s vast intelligence is only matched by its wild array of anatomical accoutrements.
If you enjoy H.P Lovecraft’s works on the Cthulhu Mythos and or love disgusting slimy things that shatter your notions of time and space, well look no further than this masterpiece!
