The first film in Edgar Wright’s Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, 2004’s Shaun of the Dead threw the creative minds behind Spaced together for some feature film fun. 

Starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, 29 year old electronics salesman Shaun is caught in a life crisis, his girlfriend breaks up him and his otherwise underwhelming life begins to cave in upon itself. So you can imagine why he might not notice right away that a zombie apocolypse was taking hold of his neighborhood. Shaun’s plan? He and his vulgar housemate Ed have to win back his ex-girlfriend, reconcile his relationship with his mother, confront his step-father, then go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over.
