Praised as Whale’s masterpiece, the film was selected in 1998 by the Library of Congress for preservation in the U.S. National Film Registry. This deluxe LP edition includes newly commissioned artwork by Phantom City Creative, a 12″x12″ booklet with rare scoring session photos, and liner notes from album producer and restoration engineer Mike Matessino. With full approval from the estate of Elsa Lanchester, this official release pays tribute to a timeless classic and its unforgettable score.
