The Who’s “Face Dances” has received a 40th anniversary Record Store Day exclusive 2LP release. These 18 tracks have been magnificently mastered at half speed by Abbey Road Studios. The first disc contains the newly re-mastered version of the album while the second is a side of studio out-takes and four tracks from the bands Rockpalast show in 1981 (appearing on vinyl for the first time).

“Face Dances” was the ninth studio album by The Who. It was the first of their two studio albums with drummer Kenney Jones, who had replaced Keith Moon after his passing in 1978. The album delivers a refreshing, less familiar sound, brilliant songwriting, powerful energy and clear production.
