The Witcher – Old World Monster Trail Board Game Expansion

The world after the Conjunction of the Spheres is filled with terrifying beasts. Travellers face dangers like drowners, ghouls, and harpies, making every journey perilous. This expansion adds depth to the game, with elements like monster hunting, deck-building, combos, bombs, mutagens, and special starting cards.

It includes the School of the Manticore Witcher, advanced action cards, and 17 large monster cards, each representing a different Old World beast. These cards feature new abilities and special attacks tied to each Monster’s characteristics in the Witcher world. When a Monster appears, a large card is placed next to it, visible to all players.

Additionally, 4 Special Combat Cards are introduced. Before battling a monster, shuffle 2-4 of these into its Life Pool (depending on the Monster’s level). These cards add unpredictability, making each encounter unique. Special Combat Cards also introduce Passive Attacks, triggered when a Monster discards a card due to damage, adding new layers of strategy. Every decision while trailing and fighting Monsters must be carefully considered to survive the threats ahead.
