For only the second time since the mission had been terminated in 1981, all four original members of Throbbing Gristle Chris Carter, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Genesis P-Orridge, and Peter Christopherson (“Sleazy”) re-united to perform live in tribute to the recent passing of dear friend and co-conspirator, John Balance who, along with TG’s Christopherson, had manned the spacecraft known as Coil through the dark void left in Throbbing Gristle’s absence.

Throbbing Gristle ” Live December 2004: A Souvenir Of Camber Sands” is a live recording released by the band through Mute Records Limited and TG’s own Industrial Records. For being the Wreckers of Civilization, Throbbing Gristle displayed amazingly consistent business and artistic savvy. 

The songs featured on this release were initially released immediately following Throbbing Gristle’s historic performance of December 2004. The performance and discs were dedicated to John Balance who passed in November of 2004. The few remaining copies of this limited edition set were briefly available through UK Mute Records, but quickly sold out, and are now reissued and presented on vinyl for the first time.
