Toxic Crusaders are hideously deformed creatures of superhuman size and strength! Following a trend of environmentally considerate cartoons and comics of the time, the 1991 animated series Toxic Crusaders featured Toxie and his group of misfit superheroes as they attempted to combat pollution and stop the polluting villains. Junkyard came into being when a stray dog and a human human were fused in an electrical storm.
