Toxic Crusaders are hideously deformed creatures of superhuman size and strength! Following a trend of environmentally considerate cartoons and comics of the time, the 1991 animated series Toxic Crusaders featured Toxie and his group of misfit superheroes as they attempted to combat pollution and stop the polluting villains. Melvin Junko aka Toxie, was a young and goofy kid that lived with his mother and worked at the Tromaville Gym. After a prank gone wrong, Melvin found himself transformed into a hideous creature of superhuman size and strength.
